About the Business Boost Grant

The Business Boost Grant Program is administered by the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training (DESBT) in Queensland. The program aims to assist small businesses with 2–19 employees in enhancing their efficiency and productivity. The support encompasses three key project areas:

Business Size

Must have 2–19 employees at the time of application

Minimum Turnover

At least $300,000 annual turnover

Business Growth

Experiencing Growth with a gross profit in 2023/2024.

Location

Must be headquartered in Queensland

Must be at least 50% Australian-owned

Financial Health

Must be established, solvent and financially sound and not subject to any insolvency proceedings

Matching Funds

Ability to provide a dollar-for-dollar matching co-contribution

Compliance

Must be compliant with all local, state, and federal laws, including tax obligations

Prior Grants

Cannot have received funding for the same project from other government grants

Project Scope
